Thomas Tyner followed up his 10-touchdown performance from last week with a 254-yard, two score effort Friday that helped Aloha gut out a 13-8 win at scrappy Sunset among Friday's key scores.

Tyner, who ran for 643 yards in a wild 84-63 win over Lakeridge last week, fumbled twice in the game at Sunset, but had a 41-yard burst for a score to open the fourth quarter. He carried the ball 42 times, which still left his average per carry at 6 yards.

Aloha improved to 4-0, and is No. 1 in the Class 6A rankings - one of six unbeaten teams at the level.

Central Catholic improved to No. 2 after it beat Jesuit, 13-8, at Hillsboro Stadium - the Crusaders dropping only to No. 4 with the loss.

Defending state champion Lake Oswego beat Southridge 28-21 to improve to 4-0.

Sherwood easily remained No. 1 with a 42-0 victory at St. Helens. The Bowmen meet No. 24 Liberty next week.

Gladstone beat Philomath 42-22 but dropped to No. 2 in the rankings behind Klamath Union.
