Thorns prep for Cup final

Portland plays Gotham FC Saturday

The prelude to the NWSL season is set for Saturday, and the Portland Thorns will be involved.

Portland is set to take on Gotham FC in the NWSL Challenge Cup after winning three of its four group stage matches. The Thorns settled for a draw with Houston Sunday, but were six points ahead of the Dash in Group B.

Gotham FC won Group A with two wins and a pair of draws for eight points. North Carolina won two matches, but had just one draw and a loss to finish second with eight points.

Portland will play host to the match Saturday.
