Chara nets another bicycle score, but Timbers draw with LAFC
Yimmi Chara did it again for the Portland Timbers, and soccer fans across social media.
But, it didn't turn into the three points the team and its fans were hungry for Sunday night.
An extra-time goal by LAFC led to a 1-1 draw in Los Angeles, and left the Timbers, who drew with New England a week before, with just two points in the Western Conference standings after two weeks.
But, the Timbers have looked far more impressive than just two points, sparked to a significant degree by Chara and his highlight reel.
In the 18th minute, Chara netted a spectacular bicycle kick to give the Timbers a lead for the first time this season. His goal was a looping kick over the outstretched arm of LA goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau that immediately drew comparisons to his goal from Week 1.
